Organically grown seeds. Old but reliable variety. It is fairly early and produces dark green, almost black, fruit. Grows well under less favourable conditions. It is a thermophilic crop, therefore preferably pre-sow in a greenhouse in pots. Sow directly in the garden in a sunny spot, no sooner than late May! Requires fertile, highly humic soil. The leaves with silver-coloured blotches do not indicate disease, but are a hereditary feature. The flowers are edible at an early stage. Continually harvesting ensures that the plant produces fruit for longer. Harvest the fruits young!
