Round, smooth, yellow-fleshed tubers with a red/purple top. Deliciously tender flesh. Sow in the garden in final spot, thin out later. Do not sow too early and give enough water, otherwise the tuber lignifies. Requires a light clayey soil that is not too heavily fertilized. Grows partially above ground. Tubers keep fairly long in a cool place. Use anti-insect nets to protect young plants against cabbage midge.
