This brown Crayfish pot is considered to be the best of it's kind in Europe. The steady construction of high quality and elastic plastic material with strong hinges and integrated ballast plates at the bottom as well as the unique locking device are results of many years of development and practical experience. The dark brown camouflage colour, the UV-resistance and the exact workmanship are further marks of quality. The entrances are arranged in that way that the Crayfish when trying to reach the bait are falling into the pot. The funnels are that high off the bottom that the catch can't escape.
With each crayfish pot we supply one plastic bait bag and one bait needle. For bigger bait (fish) you can use the needle and for smaller bait (guts) the bag is used. The needle can easily be snapped from inside into a slot while the hanger of the bag can be shifted on to the middle tongue of the lock before closing the trap. The bait can be fixed on the needle or put into the bag at home and can be attached to the trap before setting. Furthermore the rope eye of the line for the marker buoy can be hung on to the middle tongue of the lock too.
These crayfish pots are stackable and don't need much stowing space on board the boat. In this way 10 pieces need a space of approx. 54 x 34 x 59 cm height.
Copies of these crayfish pots made of low quality recycled plastic have been seen in the market. The quality and workmanship was so inferior that those who tried them came back to the original product very soon.
