Harvest the leaves before the plant begins to seed. Do not cut off the flowering herb too far down. This way the plant can continue growing and be harvested again later. The leaves have a slightly peppery flavour, aromatic fragrance and make heavy food more easily digestible. Tasty with, for example, meat and fish as well as potato and bean dishes. Sow in the garden in rows and thin out once emerged. Produces attractive, small bright blue flowers.
